{"id":1381,"date":"2023-10-05T09:07:31","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T09:07:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/christian.mywebpreview.co.uk\/scottsdalenewsite\/?p=1381"},"modified":"2024-09-10T03:07:11","modified_gmt":"2024-09-10T03:07:11","slug":"poppys-office-sets-opening-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christian.mywebpreview.co.uk\/scottsdalenewsite\/blog\/post\/poppys-office-sets-opening-date\/","title":{"rendered":"Poppy&#8217;s Office Sets Opening Date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The much-anticipated Poppy\u2019s Office will open on Tues., Oct. 17.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The speakeasy, located next door to Liberty Station American Tavern and Smokehouse in North Scottsdale, is an homage to the late Paul Keeler, founder of <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.keelerhospitalitygroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keeler Hospitality Group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which operates Liberty Station, as well as Keeler\u2019s Neighborhood Steakhouse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The concept for the speakeasy\u2014which is a replica of Paul&#8217;s private office and showcases a number of personal mementos, family portraits, memorabilia of Paul\u2019s favorite sports teams, and \u201cPoppyisms\u201d (such as quotes Paul had become known for saying\u2014came to his son, Matt, in a dream. Prior to Paul\u2019s passing, Matt and Paul had often contemplated how to use that extra space. After having the dream, Matt knew he wanted to use the space to honor his father and help others remember him, too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poppy was the name originally given to Paul by his grandchildren, and it quickly caught on with the entire hospitality community, who also began affectionately calling him the term of endearment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The menu at Poppy&#8217;s Office will include options such as Papi\u2019s Tacos (choice of carne asada, adovada, pollo asada, or carnitas, all served on white corn tortillas with cabbage, diced onion, limes and salsa), chips and salsa with chile verde and chile rojo, chips and dips such as chilled queso dip and chunky guacamole, and grilled elote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The drink menu will also be inspired by Paul, incorporating many of his favorite beverages. Some selections include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Drink With Me Bebe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: La Caravedo Pisco, rosemary-caper shrub, Judy\u2019s Limoncello, local honey, sesame and peach bitters with a lemon twist ($16)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Poppy\u2019s Cigar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie, The Deacon Whisky,\u00a0 apple bitters, chocolate bitters, Peychaud Bitters and local honey. This cocktail is smoked tableside and finished with a luxardo cherry. ($20)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Silver Fox:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Buffalo Trace, salted espresso simple and black walnut bitters served on the rocks with an orange twist. ($16)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/poppysoffice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poppy&#8217;s Office<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be open Sun., Tues., and Wed. from 4-10 p.m. and Thurs. through Sat. from 4-11 p.m. First Hour and Last Happy Hour are offered Sun., Tues., and Wed. from 4-5 p.m. and 9-10 p.m., as well as Thurs. through Sat. from 4-5 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">34522 N.
