New Swim School Debuts in South Scottsdale, Offering Lessons For Those Ages 3 Months Through Adult

A new swim school is now offering lessons at the L.A. Fitness at 1900 N. Scottsdale Road. A membership to the location is not needed for the lessons.
For more than 40 years, British Swim School has been dedicated to teaching water survival skills by teaching infants, children, and adults of all ages the skills needed for water acclimation, water survival, and stroke development. Its mission is to ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer.
To Jackson and Julia Lambirth, that sounded perfect.
The pair—who are new parents—were looking for a new business venture that would allow them to connect with other local parents while getting ingrained in the community.
“This allows us to really be immersed with parents in our area while also satisfying this ethical need to contribute to society,” Jackson says. “What’s a better way than teaching someone how to survive around the water?”
So, the couple decided to open the British Swim School of Scottsdale.
“British Swim School really scratched the itch of what we were trying to do,” Jackson adds. “The Buzz [Franchise Brands] team is awesome. I was blown away by how built out their curriculum is, their marketing team, and the support we’ve gotten from Buzz helped us feel really taken care of.”
The school offers programs for children from 3 months to adults. The gentle teaching methods use a survival-first approach geared to helping people of all experience levels become safer, stronger swimmers.
As their business grows, the Lambirths plan to give back to the community monetarily, as well as partner with local businesses to give back where possible.
“[British Swim School] was a perfect marriage with our desire to give back.”
